First pano of the day, midway up on valea Radului. Our target for today is to reach curmatura Bratilei, have a look at the shelter there, then keep going up to the nearest peak (Ludisoru)

Futher up, we leave the trees behind and admire the whole valley and small stream with it’s many waterfalls.

We run into a bit of foggy clouds, but keep going. There’s barely any wind and the temperature is pleasant. This pano was taken on the upper part of the valley.

We reach the main Fagaras ridge and easily find the dome-shaped shelter. This pass is called curmatura Bratilei and there is a fresh water source just 10 minutes down on the track we came from, (to valea Radului).

Our target for today, Ludisoru peak, at 2302m altitude. The clouds kept mostly to the North side of the main ridge. In the pano, we can see to the south Mezea – Oticu ridge, with the trail that links Fagaras to Iezer – Papusa mountain range.
