At this junction the ridge portion is completed, We loop around through the forest back to Muntele Rosu chalet.
Currently at 1815m altitude, we can see the Gropsoarele – Zaganu ridge towards the east, and the seismic sensor mounted close-by.
A lot of tracks converge at this point, like the one coming from Ciucas chalet or the one going to Red Mountain chalet.
After 50km/h winds we finally reach the terminus of this hike, the seismic sensor housing converted into an alpine refuge.
